IMPaCT is the Infrastructure for Precision Medicine associated with Science and Technology and is built upon three pillars: Cohorte, Data, and Genómica.
The mission of IMPaCT is to establish and transfer the necessary knowledge to support and facilitate the effective deployment of Personalized Precision Medicine, which represents a paradigm shift and a new reality for the health system and enabling a personalized approach that is a preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic, and is more effective and safe for every patient.
These IMPaCT pillars, individually or as a whole, are designed to serve the R&D&I system oriented towards Precision Medicine in order to enhance the generation and transfer of the highest quality knowledge within the Spanish National Health System, ensuring scientific-technical excellence, epistemic justice, and efficiency in the use of available resources.
IMPaCT is coordinated and funded by the Institute of Health Carlos III (ISCIII, for its initials in Spanish)
Strategic Plan
The IMPaCT Strategic Plan is structured around three strategic pillars and two transversal working groups.
The strategic pillars correspond to each of the three programs (Cohorte, Data and Genómica) which, in turn, are divided into specific actions and work packages, with compliance indicators that aim to determine the effectiveness of the deployment of the IMPaCT infrastructure.
In addition, the two transversal working groups facilitate internal alignment between the three programs in shared issues such as data ethics and the internationalization of the platform.
